we need a fallback list when both getPreferredWorkingCopyList() and getPreferredSubversionWorkingCopyList() return None, otherwise we get the following exception:
TypeError: 'NoneType' object is not iterable

properties, because the code of PropertyManager
was looking at all generated properties. This is
totally useless usually for PropertyManager to
deals with generated properties, because we use it
to manage local properties.
