table checksum background:

   my_checksum() mysys function
   NISAM checksum code moved from mysys to isam/ - it's obsolete
   MyISAM checksum code moved to mysys
   table's checksum accessible from sql layer
   SHOW TABLE STATUS shows checksum (WL#646)
