Currently actions are chained by a singly linked list, therefore it is a bit hard to add and remove a specific entry. Convert it to struct list_head so that in the latter patch we can remove an action without finding its head. Cc: Jamal Hadi Salim <jhs@mojatatu.com> Cc: David S. Eric Dumazet pointed out that act_mirred needs to find the current net_ns, and struct net pointer is not provided in the call chain. His original patch made use of current->nsproxy->net_ns to find the network namespace, but this fails to work correctly for userspace code that makes use of netlink sockets in different network namespaces. Instead, pass the "struct net *" down along the call chain to where it is needed. This version removes the ifb changes as Eric has submitted that patch separately, but is otherwise identical to the previous version. Signed-off-by:

cls_flow.c plays with uids and gids. Unless I misread that code it is possible for classifiers to depend on the specific uid and gid values. Therefore I need to know the user namespace of the netlink socket that is installing the packet classifiers. Pass in the rtnetlink skb so I can access the NETLINK_CB of the passed packet. In particular I want access to sk_user_ns(NETLINK_CB(in_skb).ssk). Pass in not the user namespace but the incomming rtnetlink skb into the the classifier change routines as that is generally the more useful parameter. So that it is also an offset from skb->head, reduces its size from 8 to 4 bytes on 64bit architectures, allowing us to combine the 4 bytes hole left by the layer headers conversion, reducing struct sk_buff size to 256 bytes, i.e. 4 64byte cachelines, and since the sk_buff slab cache is SLAB_HWCACHE_ALIGN... :-) Many calculations that previously required that skb->{transport,network, mac}_header be first converted to a pointer now can be done directly, being meaningful as offsets or pointers. Now the skb->nh union has just one member, .raw, i.e. it is just like the skb->mac union, strange, no? I'm just leaving it like that till the transport layer is done with, when we'll rename skb->mac.raw to skb->mac_header (or ->mac_header_offset?), ditto for ->{h,nh}. Signed-off-by:

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
